Dear 3A and 3B,

It is exam time again and for me the very difficult task of giving your child a grade for Art. All of them are such incredible individuals and to grade them on creativity is not easy.

I have therefore decided to give them a grade based on work completed in class and following the instruction of coming to me (or Mr Pousen) to get a stamp in their art book for each completed piece.

They will also be graded on a simple art exam which will take place on Tuesday (for 3A) and Wednesday (for 3B). The majority of the grade will be based on how well they follow the directions for the assignment.

To help the students even more I am going to give some of the instructions here so they can prepare prior to their exam next week.

Grade 3 Semester 2 Mid term exam instructions:

1. Fill as much of the A3 piece of paper as possible. (I will supply the paper)

2. Use only 3 colors in 2 different media. eg. Choose 3 colors such as blue, green, and black and then bring these colors in both markers and pencil crayons. (You will lose marks if I have to lend you colored pencils etc)

3. The topic is kites

More instructions will be given during the exam but the students can prepare by looking at different kite designs, designs to draw within the kites, and geometric border designs. They may bring pictures of kites and designs into the exam.

Good luck with your preparation for all your exams and I hope you will have fun during the art exam.

Best regards,

Mrs. DB

Hello 3A and 3B!

As part of your art class, you're requested to spend some time looking at pictures of kites. Look at mow many different kinds of kites there are! Some are decorative, some are traditional, and some are for racing or stunts. Some are just for fun!
